National Library of Medicine (NLM)
The NLM is the world's largest medical library. Drug and health information could
be obtained by MEDLINEPlus, MEDLINE/PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov,
NIHSeniorHealth, Household Products Database, Genetics Home Reference,
AIDSinfo, and Tox Town. The search could be facilitated by the use of MeSH
(Medical Subject Headings). The NLM offers training manuals at

Medline is the largest and most comprehensive source of life sciences and
biomedical bibliographic information, provided by the National Library of Medicine
(NLM). It covers the fields of medicine (preclinical and clinical studies), veterinary
medicine, nursing, dentistry, and health care system. Provides bibliographic
citations and abstracts from over 4,800 biomedical journals published in the
United States and 70 other countries. The database contains over 12 million
citations dating back to the mid 1960's. The NLM provides free access of Medline
via PubMed.

PubMed
PubMed offers key words, author, and journal search of published in biomedical
journals articles. Advanced searching is possible by using the option
Preview/Index. Boolean searching could be also used. Browsing by journal or
MeSH is another option. The limit features allow limitation of the search to year
range, age groups, gender, human or animal studies, publication type, or
language. PubMed has a very useful option "related records". PubMed provides
links to full-text articles from publishers Web sites, libraries and sequencing
centers. The link is displayed on the Abstract citation option. The performed
search strategy and search results are hold in the History option. The new
PubMed Central offers free online access to scientific journals.
