Hypertension (High blood pressure)
High blood pressure may evoke serious health consequences. It could  accelerate the
development of atherosclerosis and increase the risk of other cardiovascular
complications such as stroke.
Angina (Chest pain)
Angina is chest pain, pressing feeling in the chest or discomfort that occurs when the
heart muscle does not receive enough blood. Angina is a symptom of coronary artery
disease, the most common type of heart disease. There are 3 types of angina: stable,
unstable, and variant (Prinzmetal's).

What Is Angina (National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute)
A wide variety of medications with different pharmacological mechanisms of action
are available for treatment of the  cardiovascular disease.
The main groups of medications used for treatment of high blood
pressure are calcium channel blockers and angiotensin- converting enzyme (ACE)
inhibitors. Beta blockers, calcium channel blockers and nitrates are used for
treatment of angina. Beta blockers slow heart rate and lower blood pressure.
Calcium channel blockers relax the coronary arteries and prevent the spasm. They
also lower blood pressure. ACE inhibitors lower blood pressure and reduce the
strain on the heart.
